National Highway 8: The highway of culture

This National Highway is the busiest in the subcontinent because it connects the two capitals, the national capital Delhi to the financial capital Mumbai and runs as long as 1428 km. NH 8 is a part of the Golden Quadrilateral, which connects the major industrial, agricultural and cultural centers of the country, and was actually the first section of this project to be finished. Delhi is the place that suits every kind of traveller because it has something for everyone and it does not disappoint its visitors. Gurgaon is not much far from Delhi so it has the same cultural diversity that you witnessed in Delhi. This city in Haryana has witnessed rapid urbanization and is now among the top three in per capita income in the country. Apart from all the industrial developments that have been there in Gurgaon, it has a very rich culture with people from neighboring states contributing to it. You will obviously find Haryanvi people and along with them you will find people from Bihar, UP and Punjab. This really stirs up the cultural mixture.

4. Ahmedabad: City with peace at it’s heart

This former capital of Gujarat is the largest city in the state. It houses the seat of the Gujarat High Court. Ahmadabad observes a large number of festivals which depict its vibrant culture. It was listed as the fastest growing city of the decade in 2010 by Forbes and Times of India chose it as the best city to live in India in 2012. It might as well be called the calmest city in the country. Ahmedabad’s culture and tradition is best described by its calmness.

This megacity is the end point of this trip through the cultures of India. Mumbai has the best of everything, from tourist destinations to cultural centers and you will not disagree once you visit. Mumbai is the city where you find everything. Culture has always been a big part of this city and people here are extremely proud of it. It is appropriate to say that Mumbai is where life happens.
