The trek begins from the small village of Leh, Chilling, reaching there could be a challenge in itself. The easiest would be fly to Leh airport and then drive to Chilling. This trek covers the journey from Chilling to Zanskar valley taking you to the elevation of 11,123 feet. On the trail, you have to pass across the Zanskar river which is frozen and requires a high amount of attention. The temperature would fall down to -15 to -30 degrees and requires you to stay inside caves and igloos. But, at the same time, it will give you one hell of an experience.
